Lawyers?

Hey, Y'all,
My sweetie pie, (Gramps), is talking hiring a lawyer to sue the motel where the shower rod fell on him. He doesn't know that he doesn't have a leg to stand on. In the first place, I have never believed in suing anyone. In the second place, he can't even remember the name of the motel or the place where the motel was located. In the third place, he doesn't realize his culpability in holding on to the shower rod to balance himself. In the fourth place, it just ain't gonna happen.

I told him that I would not help him, and to just put away the phone book and that he would do better to be reading God's word than reading the phone book.

We are having vegetable beef soup for supper tonight. I bought some stir fry beef this week and cut it into very small pieces and started the beef cooking in our crock pot. We will be having corn bread muffins with the soup. I have invited our friend, Mark, over for supper, because quite often his wife, Allie, works late and he eats supper alone or waits till late to eat. I know he must get lonesome sometimes, working at home and eating alone.

I was hoping that we would be getting a call from the home health care people this morning, letting us know that someone would be here to work with Gramps today, but no calls. Only the speech therapist to set up Thursday and Friday meetings to work on his memory skills has called today.

I waited until after lunch and then decided that I really needed to carry off the trash, since we have no trash pickup, and the garbage was beginning to stack up in the large trash can. I think sometimes they think that we have nothing to do but wait around the house to hear from them. Maybe I am wrong in that, and I know they have a lot of people to see, but it seems they could consider the other side of the picture, doesn't it?

I did some rearranging of drawers this morning to store the really nice sweats that Gramps got for his birthday this year. Then I got Gramps up and fixed his breakfast for him. It seems things just seem to pile up to do. I have also been working on the quilt for Matt today. It is going to be quite a process, but I think it will be beautiful when it is finished, and large also. It will be 90 x 90 inches. It will fit a large king size bed when completed. I hope to get it finished maybe by Christmas.

Well, that is about all the news that is news for now. The weather here is beautiful and it was up to 81 degrees today and my bedroom windows are open and the air conditioning has been off for several days.

This is Blabbin' Grammy signing off for the day. More tomorrow. I trust each of you has had a lovely day, and it seems we will be having a little rain tonight and tomorrow, into Thursday. That is good. My roses could use the rain. Bye for now and may you feel God's love and peace in your hearts. More tomorrow.

Hey, Dad is on his way over and I want you to show him how to post a comment. I tried to talk him through it but it is hard when I can't see what he is looking at. That is actually quite funny that Uncle Dubby wants to sue. I remember that post when you talked about him doing that. I just laughed at this post when I realized what it was talking about :)..he he he

You have to admit it is kind of funny that now he is home and was not hurt he wants to sue the place. Grammy, I love cornbread. It is one of my favorite things to eat. I can eat it with anything and love it crumbled in milk. Don't know if anyone else has ever had it like that. We are finally getting a little rain here right now. We sure do need it bad.

Oh, poor Gramps...I hope he forgets about sueing those people. Did it hurt him a lot? I remember you writing about it when it happened. Your beef stew sounds good. I cooked a pot of brown beans today and made cornbread. Judy, I like my cornbread with buttermilk. Have a good night Grammy. Try to rest. (I slept two hours last night) Bill hollered all night. I hope it is better tonight...I can't take two nights in a row like that!
