The object of my post today is not to debate the matter of equality. We are all aware that inequality exists everywhere. Rather, it is to get your response to the question of equality in America.
When my daughters were little, I attempted giving to them equally. If one of them received a new dress, the other one was the recipient of a new one, as well. I never wanted either of them to feel she was less or more important to me than the other. I still don't.
A great debate looms over our country today, over inequality of rights. I'm not going into that discussion, just mentioning a few. The races; the sexes; rich people versus poor people; education: are all in a period of flux. You can probably name a few more.
These inequalities have been around forever. Don't expect them to change. That does not mean, however, that people won't continue with group and individual campaigns in their wars for justice.
Do any of these get your knickers in a twist? Are you doing anything to change any of them? If so, would you like to share?

There has always been someone shouting 'that's not fair' and there always will be sadly...sometimes it's us doing the shouting...sometimes not. There is not a whole lot one can do about the bigger issues on a personal level...race/religion/gender/age etc etc... except to demonstrate fairness in our own attitudes and actions.
You hit that nail on the head with a hammer, just right!
What equality saddens me the most is that children who haven't been born yet are not given the right to life and it is legal for them to have their lives taken away. Great post!
Right, Anne Marie! That one slipped the old noggin, here. Thanks for the reminder.
All the injustices in the world will never be settled until Christ returns. On Earth, with God's imperfect creatures running around everywhere, injustice will continue to prevail. We should do what we can, when we can to fight injustice, and to right wrongs.
You are so right, DA!
It's a fine line, trying to make sure everything is equal. And knowing it never will be. The best we can do is make sure WE treat people as equally as we can and hope it makes an impression in the world.
Good luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!

I think that the inequality that really bothers me has to do with transportation. If you can afford to have a car, you can go where ever you want, whenever you want. If you can't afford to have a car or if you're blind and, therefore, it's a bad idea if you drove a car, you have to rely on a broken mass transit system that is seriously underfunded and is, for the most part, useless. As someone who doesn't own a car, I find this annoying and frustrating. My feet will only take me so far. Arrrrrgggghhh. That's all I can say.
Dear friends, It seems this is a subject that touches a lot of areas. Thanks for all the timely comments! You are all spot on!
