Out of Bed

Hey, Y'all,

Well, howdy! Gramps got up this morning around 10 a.m. and got dressed. Praise the Lord! He is not exactly moving on all eight cylinders yet, but is better. His neck still hurts, and his head, but he is moving.

I have determined that it is time to exchange the big king sized bed for twin beds again, so have already purchased them and they will be delivered in the morning after 10 a.m. The kingsize bed will be taken to Mark and Allie's basement, and will be sold via a newspaper ad or maybe on swap n shop.

Gramps is watching the Jerry Lewis Telethon, and I have been catching some of it. I have taken the left over beef roast and am making vegetable beef soup with it. I expect it will really be good. I will bake some cornbread muffins to go with it. Jiffy Mix cornbread is really good and easy to make.

NEWS FLASH: Gramps and I just got a call from Imazo that her sister, Lois, is in the hospital in Ohio and not doing very well. I had promised her that we would take them to see Lois very soon. So in the morning, we are leaving to take them to Ohio for a few days. Even as I type, clothes are in the washer for Gramps, and I am packing two suitcases. I have called the furniture store to cancel delivery of the twin beds until after we return from Ohio.

Muffins are in the oven, soup is about ready to eat; then dishes are to be done, kitchen floor to sweep, and then finish packing our clothes. A lot of last minute details to be done.

I called Mae to tell her we were going and she said, "you all be careful, there are four people in that car that I care a lot about." Bless her heart, we love her too.

Well, gotta go now, and finish up stuff.

Thought for today: "Lord, give us strength to face each new day as it comes. Thank you, Jesus, Amen."

This is Blabbin' Grammy signing off for today. God's blesssings rest upon each of you this evening and give you a good night's rest. Bye for now.

Mae is right, Grammy. You all be careful and have a safe trip. I am glad your husband is doing better.
