We Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Hey, Y'all,
Friday dawned this morning on a hot, windy note and will continue being hot and windy. Yesterday was hot also, and I reckon maybe that is the way it will be from here on out till a cold snap hits in about five months or so. I think maybe we are going to be seeing some stormy weather soon.

Well, yesterday I was picked up at my house by one of the Sunday School members and we traveled on to pick up another member and proceeded on to the house of our hostess. I saw a part of Bedford that I hadn't seen before, but hope to see again soon. We have decided to meet once a month to play games.

Here are pictures of the ladies who were there (well, except for me, of course, because I am the one behind the camera, if you look really close, you just might see me, ha). We certainly had a lot of fun, talking, laughing, and playing "Chicken Foot" Dominoes! Don't they look like absolute dolls? I guarantee, they are delightful friends.

There were just six of us, because some of the ladies in our class were not up to coming.

Today will no doubt be a quiet day, unless something unforeseen happens (which, of course, would certainly change matters). I plan on doing a little paper filing and I know that will please me to get it done, and my daughters also. Breakfast in a little while will take up some time, and I have a book to finish reading during my breakfast. Gotta solve that murder mystery. I don't know if any of you ever read any books by Patricia Sprinkle or not, but they are quite entertaining.  I have just recently discovered her at the public library but she has been around for quite a while.

I also have my Sunday School lesson to study on some more so that I will be ready to teach in a few days. There is never any lack of things for me to do. Oh yeah, the Dallas Mavericks have been dominating the news around here for several days, and had a really big parade with two hundred thousand people there to watch them. I was not one of them. Fortunately the people of the area did not have to pay for the cost of the parade. Lots of chatter about the heat prostration and transportation problems of the chowder heads who went to see them. (No offense intended, folks).

Daughter Carol is staying busy while her sweetie pie husband, Daryl, is in Kenya on a mission trip teaching. Carol is cleaning closets and doing that kind of cleaning that can only be done with a single mindedness. I know she is missing Daryl a lot, too. Please pray for those on the mission trip; I know they will appreciate your prayers.

Well, that is about it for today. This is Blabbin' Grammy signing off for today. Much love to each of you, my friends and family. Bye for now. More later.

I love playing dominoes! So glad you're having fun! I agree, let's always remember our missionaries in prayer. Blessings! BTW, I also like your flower garden.
