An Early Father' s Day

Hey, Y'all,
Yesterday was a lovely day in our family...We celebrated Father's Day a week early in Carol and Daryl's family since he is going to be on a mission trip to Kenya next Sunday. He went on a mission trip thirty years ago to what is now Bourkina Fasso and what then was called Upper Volta. On that trip he helped to build an earthen dam, so the people who lived in the area could have clean water. On this trip he is going to be teaching, which he does very well. Needless to say, he is quite excited about going.

We were fortunate to have Ben's parents (Emily's mother-in-law and father in law) visiting for the past few days and they spent their visit in the home of Emily's parents (Carol and Daryl). I was glad to be able to spend some time with all of them. It was a very congenial group and we had lots of fun. Marlene and Todd (Ben's parents) had to return home last evening.

Game time - our family is big on games at family get togethers, when there are enough of us to play.

As you can see from the pictures, we  had a really great time and we had a delicious meal as well. They grilled hamburgers and we had all the fixings to go with them.

This is Blabbin' Grammy signing off for today. I hope each of you had a really wonderful weekend as well. Much love to each of you, my friends and family. Bye for now. More later.

You have a wonderful family, not that you need ME to tell you. (Still, it's always nice to hear.) I accepted your challenge on my blog today. Thank you, ma'am.
