And, that soap box is where we need to shout out to the world about these kids that bully and terrorize other peers! Also, the way that the parenting in many, many homes has laxed, it is pitiful! Some of the teens/young adults should be grounded til marriage, so it seems! Some parents are just lousy and lazy with their skills! Seems they are blaming the schools when it begins at HOME!! Like your posting, Grammy, you just get up on that soap box any ol' time!
See you soon....

http://timeforabucketlist.blogspot.com/
http://imagesinthought.blogspot.com/
http://the-old-story-tree.blogspot.com/
http://bagladythoughts.blogspot.com/Margaret Hallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14006950974157246888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327168900682458507.post-43433903538516761712011-04-15T05:39:09.250-07:002011-04-15T05:39:09.250-07:00Lunacy is a very good word to describe it, but it&...Lunacy is a very good word to describe it, but it's not just the kids. Many babies are born out of wedlock and that is something that was considered a tragedy when I was young. Now it's an everyday occurance.

Violence is widesprad throughout society. You are so right!...Thank you so much for this post! You are so right! Now alot of people will disagree with me but I feel it's a combo of the way people raise their kids and what they are exposed to on tv and film. It's everywhere! Gone are the days when kids were expected to pay the piper for wrong doing...now we just want loopholes and ways to "beat"the system. Some Parents give too much too soon and kids are not expected to do anything to merit any reward. Then there are the lazy parents who teach nothing and wonder why timmy is on drugs or out stealing and hurting others. I am the mother or two kids and I am scared of the world they are facing. I pray for all good kids and the ones who are lost...I hope they all find their way. great post. They were horrified, but I don't think the knew what to do. That was the most horrific thing ever and I agree with why you got on soapbox. Could it have something to do with some of the changes in child-rearing and education? In the past twenty years or so, it seems like parents are more intent on being friends to their children than in being parents. After all, being a good role model, providing guidance and instilling decent values takes real work. And parents and schools alike have gone so far overboard in teaching so-called self-esteem that children no longer grasp the idea that self-esteem is a byproduct of actually DOING something of worth, and not a self-indulgent given. Both of these trends can't help but breed self-centeredness, and where self is the center of the universe, there's no room for empathy towards other people. (Of COURSE, my grandchildren aren't like this at all!)Susan Flett Swiderskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09425315552148200073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7327168900682458507.post-8218416598419827512011-04-14T06:59:09.599-07:002011-04-14T06:59:09.599-07:00I agree, please stay on your soapbox!
